Surface The section between Huddersfield and Golcar has been improved as part of the City Connect set of cycle schemes throughout West Yorkshire and there are plans to improve the towpath to its end at Marsden in future. At the time of writing however the western section was unimproved and can be quite rough and narrow in places, so care required.
